PilotGuyPro ("we," "us," "our") is a web-based platform that provides FAA checkride scheduling, document management, and communication tools for flight schools, flight instructors, students, and Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs) in Central Florida.
2. Information We Collect
When you create an account or use PilotGuyPro, we may collect:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, username, and role (student, instructor, manager, DPE, or admin).
- Flight Training Documents: FAA documents you upload, including IACRA 8710 forms, medical certificates, pilot certificates, and airman knowledge test reports.
- Scheduling Data: Checkride requests, scheduling preferences, appointment dates, and related status information.
- Payment Information: If you use our payment features, card details are processed and stored by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor. We store only the last four digits, brand, and expiration date for display purposes.
- Usage Data: Login timestamps, device type, and general interaction data for security and troubleshooting.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the PilotGuyPro platform.
- Facilitate checkride scheduling and coordination between students, instructors, managers, and DPEs.
- Perform automated document scanning (OCR) to validate FAA documents.
- Process payments for checkride request fees.
- Send transactional SMS notifications related to your scheduling activity and account (with your consent).
- Verify your identity during registration via phone verification.
- Ensure platform security and prevent unauthorized access.
4. SMS & Phone Number Privacy
We will never sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used exclusively for:
- Transactional SMS messages related to your PilotGuyPro account and scheduling activity.
- One-time verification codes during account registration.
- Direct communication from your flight school regarding your checkride.
SMS messages are sent via Twilio, our telecommunications provider. Twilio processes your phone number solely to deliver messages on our behalf and is bound by their own privacy policies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Within Your Flight School: Your instructor and school manager can view your scheduling and document information as part of the checkride coordination process.
- With DPEs: When a checkride is scheduled, relevant information is shared with the assigned Designated Pilot Examiner.
- Service Providers: We use Twilio (SMS), Stripe (payments), and standard hosting infrastructure to operate the platform. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password storage, and login rate limiting. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information and documents for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at jacklyn@pilotguypro.com.
8. Your Rights
You may:
- Access and update your personal information through your account dashboard.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
9. Children's Privacy
PilotGuyPro is intended for use by individuals aged 16 and older (consistent with FAA student pilot eligibility). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
